A Mission To Help The Children

The team has embarked for the second year in a row on a fundraising mission to help the children! We are participating in Extralife to raise money for the OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. If you’re feeling generous, help the PDX.net team do some good for the community, donate at our Extralife page! Every cent goes towards equipment, treatments and care for children in need.

Now that we have handled the sales pitch, and we hope you will help out by donating, we can share a bit about Extralife. You might be asking yourselves, “what is Extralife?”, or “how do playing video games and fundraising go together?” Well, let us explain.

Extralife is a video game marathon established by the vast video gaming community to do a lot of good! Teams come together to, as the slogan goes, “Play games. Heal kids.” It’s a 24-hour gaming marathon where players and teams live-stream themselves playing to fundraise. With the rise of streaming services like Twitch fundraisers have never been easier!

Tune in to watch us play via our Twitch stream, via Twitch Nov 2-3, 8AM -8AM, as our team takes shifts to play for 24 hours straight! 25 if you factor the daylight savings. Send us a chat to engage with us, we can’t wait to play to help raise money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals!
