Setting Alert Availability State (Alert When Available) for MiVoice Connect 15.1, and ShoreTel Communicator 14.2.
Ever wish you could be alerted when one of your fellow coworkers becomes available (as soon as they hang-up, when they make a call after being out of the office, or when they change their State to Available)?
MiVoice Connect 15.1
To set the Connect client to notify you when the coworker’s status changes to Available, or when they make a call and hang up, or when they make a call after being out of the office (this feature works for all three modes).
To set the Alert When Available notification do either of the three following methods:
- In the Quick Dialer Search bar, type the contact name or extension, and select the contact. In
Contact Card, click the V and select Alert When Available (some versions use the instead of the V).
- If the contact is added to your Favorites or Groups list, right-click the contact in Favorites or
Groups tabs, and select Alert When Available.
- In the Quick Dialer Search bar, type the contact name or extension, right-click the contact in
second pane, and select Alert When Available.
A notification appears on the dashboard alerting you when a contact becomes available.
This feature works for Contacts that are in the Available state, but aren’t at their phone. As soon as the Contact makes a call or receives a call, the notification appears on your dashboard.
Notes: Alerts are disabled when the Connect client restarts or quits.
You cannot set this alert for any external contacts that you have added to the Connect client.
A popup appears when the Alert When Available contact finishes their call or initiates a call.
Pressing the snooze button closes the popup for the period listed on the pull-down screen button. If the
contact is still available after the period elapses, the popup is displayed again. If the contact is not available, the popup is displayed immediately after the contact becomes available.
Click the X to cancel the Alert When Available feature and popup.
