Daniel Valdez, Senior IT Service Technician

Whether you need a server fire put out, or just need someone to help you with a tricky computer related issue, Daniel’s got your back. Last year today, Daniel made the trek from Fairbanks, Alaska, to join our team here in Portland. Time and time again, Daniel has goes the extra mile in helping us slay service tickets – from traveling onsite to help our clients in a pinch, to keeping the workdays light at the office with fun facts. Daniel loves computers just as much as he loves lending a hand, so a role on our helpdesk team is the perfect fit for him.

Before working at Portland Internetworks, Daniel has held various IT roles and responsibilities, dating all the way back to his high school days. On top of his technical experience, Daniel also has a wealth of customer service experience under his belt, from clinic receptionist to longtime circus camp counselor.

So, what does the ‘perfect day’ look like for an IT aficionado and former circus camp counselor? Daniel believes that his perfect day involves being at Disneyland. However, for it to truly be a “perfect” experience, Disneyland should preferably not have a lot of people, and he should have just enough money that would allow him to buy whatever souvenir he wants. Oh, and this also includes the endless amounts of food and drinks too. Daniel says that a lesser known fact about him is that he has a birthmark of Mickey Mouse on the sole of one of his feet, which attributes to his love of all things Disney. When asked if he could create a new invention, he explains that he would create a device to temporarily pause time so that he could have more time in the day to do fun activities and sleep in.

With Daniel’s love for technology, fun disposition, and breadth of knowledge, he’s a great resource to have on our helpdesk crew, and overall, a wonderful person to be around. Thank you, again, for an incredible first year, Daniel! We can’t wait to continue creating new memories with you here at Portland Internetworks!
